Setting Up Netscape Communicator 4.5
 
 

In order to get to Netscape's email settings,
click "Edit" and then "Preferences." 

Once you are in Preferences,
double click on "Mail & Newsgroups." 

If you do not see Mail & Newsgroups, you probabaly have a stand alone edition of Communicator that needs to be upgraded.

Click on "Identities".
In the section labeled "Your Name", type Your name or Your company name.

Enter your email address:

username@bee.net


 

Click the "Mail Servers" subheading.

Click "Add"
If you have already configured the Mail Server but would like to change it, click "Edit".

The outgoing mail SMTP server:

smtp.bee.net 

The outgoing mail SMTP username:

usename






Note:
Netscape Communicator 4.5 is capable of multiple email accounts, but only for IMAP servers. Bee.Net currently uses POP3 servers for incoming email, so only one email account can be set up at a time on Netscape Communicator.
 

Click "Add"  or "Edit

The server name should be:

pop3.bee.net 

Username name:

username



To configure Netscape Communicator as your default Newserver, 

Click on the "Newsgroup Server" subheading.

Click "Edit" or "Add
