Configuring Open Transport
- Open the TCP/IP control panel and select "User Mode..." from the
"Edit" menu. A dialog box will appear looking like...
- Select "Advanced" mode and click "OK".
- The TCP/IP control panel should now look like....
- Select "FreePPP" from the "Connect via:" pop-up menu.
- Select "Using PPP Server" from the "Configure:" pop-up menu.
- Type "bee.net" in the starting and ending domain name fields.
- Enter "63.74.90.21" and "63.74.90.23" as the "Name server addr."
field. (Note: these numbers are different from
the ones pictured.)
- Your TCP/IP control panel should now be identical to the
figure above.
- (Optional) Some people report improved stability by
keeping Open Transport loaded. Note that doing so will increase your
memory requirements even when not using network software. To do this,
click the "Options..." button in the TCP/IP control panel. A dialog box
will appear (see figure below). Uncheck the box labelled "Load only when
needed". Click the "OK" button.
- Close the TCP/IP control panel.
